Christian values are integrated throughout the curriculum and students participate often in mass and devotional activities. Students from Ascension go on to Catholic and public high schools very well prepared.

Teachers: All classroom teachers are state licensed and certified in religious education from the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. The school has regular instruction and specialist teachers in music, art, and physical education.

Sacramental Programs: Second grade students have the opportunity to make their First Communion and First Reconciliation. Students have the opportunity at eighth grade to be confirmed.

Parent Participation: Ascension School has a very active Parent Teacher Organization. Parents have many opportunities to volunteer.

Transportation: Bus transportation is provided in most cases to residents of the Kettering, Dayton, Sugarcreek, and Beavercreek school districts.

Lunch Program: The school participates in the Federal Lunch Program. Nutritious meals are reasonably priced. Reduced and free lunches are available for qualifying families.

Special Needs Students: The school has a Speech Therapist and Learning Disabilities Teacher on staff. Attempts are made to accommodate the needs of physically or learning disabled students. The facility is accessible.

Facilities: In recent years the school has made major improvements to technology, added new floors, windows, ceilings, lockers, gymnasium floor, a connector to the church, and painted all classrooms and hallways. Further improvements are planned to update the school over the next few years.

Tuition: Ascension School has comparatively reasonable tuition rates with a variety of payment schedules. Tuition accounts for over 50% of the school income, while the parish continues to support the remainder of school costs.
